What this is

Operational Exception Manager (opex) — Manage operational exceptions raised across the generation estate — a single exception through triage, assignment, decision, action, escalation and closure, with links to the events that caused or relate to it. It is built from one component of the Renewable Generation Orchestration reference pack.

The domain, in one paragraph

An OperationalException (from a source application/event, with category, severity, business & regulatory impact) is triaged (severity confirmed, response class, owner role, response-due) and assigned to an owning organisation. A DecisionRecord captures the response decision by an authority; ExceptionActions carry it out; Escalations fire when it slips; a ClosureReview closes it on a reviewed resolution with residual-risk and evidence checks. RelatedEvents link the exception to its source and related events.

It's triaged (severity confirmed high, urgent, response-due 05:00), assigned to Northgate Energy, a decision DEC-0042 (dispatch technician + constrain to last-known-good), an action to replace the failed RTU module, an escalation to the operations manager, and a closure review CLR-0042 (restored 05:10, low residual risk). A related event links back to the SCADA source event.
